MAZZA (Slowthai ft. A$AP Rocky)
Watch Slowthai and A$AP Rocky bounce off the walls in this new music video which features the signature style of the Northampton born Slowthai. We definitely want to see more from this pair in the future.
Best Friend (Saweetie ft. Doja Cat)
In typical Gen Z fashion, this song is already taking over TikTok. It’s no wonder it’s such a hit with the music video giving the artists their very own Dapper Dan moment in head-to-toe Gucci. The music video and lyrics to the song have reminded us just how much we miss our friends and left us yearning for our female friendships.
Gravity (Brent Faiyaz ft. DJ Dahi + Tyler, the Creator)
For this new single Brent Faiyaz has partnered up with song writing expert Dj Dahi, and versatile artist Tyler, the Creator. Following his 2020 studio album, Fuck the World, Faiyaz and Tyler discuss the guilt of travelling away from loved ones with gravity always pulling them back right where they need to be.
Love Is Back (Celeste)
Celeste has graced us with a new album, Not Your Muse. Her signature style has been spread out over a 2-disc, 21 song album that leaves us with a feeling that there might just be light at the end of this seemingly never-ending tunnel. The music video for Love Is Back, a soulful single off the new album, takes us on a journey of the initial feeling of love at first sight and the afterthought that might come with this. There are even a few hidden celebrity cameos featured on the track.
Don’t Judge Me (FKA Twigs ft. Headie One + Fred again..)
FKA Twigs has once again immersed us into a world that is anything but emotionless. Teaming up once more with Headie One and Fred again.. to give us an ending to the interlude Judge Me. We hear the angelic voice of FKA Twigs bounce off Headie One’s unique style giving us an unanticipated crossover. Headie One’s verse reminds us of the current racial injustices happening in the world, with the music video delivering emotional and dramatic movements from dancers surrounding the 42-foot Tate Modern fountain. This important moment in the song pinpoints the many areas within UK institutions that still need to change.
Cazenove (Bicep)
Bicep’s new album Isles brings us an unexpected techno release during these quieter times but reminding us of what we have to look forward to post COVID. The single Cazenove brings about a more toned-down vibe reminiscent of the melancholic beat of Flume’s Never Be Like You.
Good Days (SZA)
In September we were blessed with SAZ’s first single since her 2017 album Ctrl. The single Hit Different blew up our screens with the beautifully curated video featuring rapper Ty Dollar $ign. On a similar note of relationships (a familiar territory for SZA) she released Good Days. This song was featured at the end of Hit Different and has been long awaited by fans.
LOW BATTERY (PARTYNEXTDOOR)
Canadian artist and producer, PARTYNEXTDOOR, has released a new EP titled Colours which features artists such as, Travis Scott and Ca$h Out. Low Battery combines auto-tune with a recognisable beat and sound bringing an unheard, upbeat tempo to his discography.
De Una Vez (Selena Gomez)
With it being over a decade since her last Spanish-speaking track, Selena Gomez reintroduces us to her Latin roots with De Una Vez. This song concentrates on past relationships and healing. We are also given a glimpse into Gomez’s past feelings towards her ever-so-public breakups. The music video, beautifully portraying the notion of isolation, enters us into an almost mythical world of crystal hearts and luminous lighting displaying the personal evolution of Gomez’s life so far.
Chemtrails Over the Country Club (Lana Del Rey)
In typical Lana Del Rey style, her new song Chemtrails Over the Country Club details a lavish lifestyle as the backdrop to a romantic relationship. The music video for this song continues to give us the familiar nostalgic Del Ray styling with a hint of heartbreak, but this time with an up-to-date accessory, a white lace facemask. If you like this track, watch out for the new album set to be released in March this year.
